Microsoft's Brings to You "Windows Phone 8"

Microsoft just introduced "Windows Phone 8" code name "Apollo" in an press event held in San Francisco earlier today. Microsoft's Windows Phone program manager Joe Belfiore said that he is excited to talk about what will come to Windows Phone this fall, the new platform shall have a shared core with the company's Windows 8 OS.

Windows Phone 8 shall have a new gesture sensor which will be used for games and document management system. when you raise your mobile phone or lower it you will see a corresponding effect. WP8 has a new and improved IE browser. The core rendering and Java Script technology is the same as it is on the desktop computers, that is good news for web authors who can create websites for PCs and they will work fine on phones, too. Other features of the new platform include Nokia Maps which were limited for only Nokia customers up till now, easier third party app development as well as re-size able Home Screen Tiles. One of the most interesting features was the new Wallet, this new feature organizes gift cards, credit cards, event tickets, secure boot and interfaces with an NFC chip. There is also one more features that "Your Data will be very safe on Windows Phone."

Windows Phone 8 will support 720p and WXGA means 768 lines of resolution in landscape mood the company said that it will support dual core and more from which we can say that we might see quad-core devices. The platform will also have a MicroSD card feature, a long term request has finally been approved guys!

At the event Microsoft said that we can expect "Killer games" WP 8 because PC game developers will have an easy time porting it to the phone. QUOTE: "You are going to see soem beefy, powerful phones running some amazing games this year, Like no games we've seen before."
